How the 3DLevelScanner Works

The 3DLevelScanner™ employs an array of three transducers to transmit low frequency pulses and to receive echoes of the pulses from the contents of the silo, bin, or other container. Using these transducers, the unit measures not only the time/distance of each echo, but also its direction. The device's digital signal processor samples and analyzes the received signals to provide accurate measurements of the volume and average level of the stored contents and generates a 3D representation of the actual allocation of the product within the container for display on remote computer screens.

The 3DLevelScanner™ is the only device presently available that delivers accurate measurement of bulk solids and powders – regardless of the type of material or product characteristics, type and size of storage silo, bin or container, and harshness of the storage environment. It incorporates unique dust-penetrating technology to achieve an unrivalled degree of process measurement and inventory control.

Accuracy
No more guesswork or inaccurate calculations. 3-dimensional mapping delivers true and absolute surface level values, volume and mass inside a silo or open bin.

Reliability and Durability
Designed and built for reliable, constant performance. Uses three independent channels to transmit and receive.

Safety
Units are available either as FM certified or ATEX certified.

Ease of Use
The system’s easy-to-read 3-dimensional map, and the broad range of data it provides, make it the most convenient and efficient tool for level measurement on the market.

Sophisticated Sensors
A built-in temperature sensor detects the interior temperature inside the silo and compensates for the influence of temperature on the signal running time. Sensors are unaffected by material type and need no calibration. Non-contact measurement makes the system appropriate for even the most sensitive materials.
