Mapping

How does the 3DLevelScanner™ map the surface?

Using a wide beam (70°) angle pulse and a dust penetrating low frequency (3.5 KHz), the 3DLevelScanner™ collects all reflected echoes. The patented 3DLevelScanner™ algorithm detects:

  • ·The distance to the material (time of arrival for each echo)

  • ·The direction of arrival of every returning echo (by calculating the arriving angle of the echo using the time difference between the received echo at each of the three transducers).

The echoes are converted to mapping  points and the 3D image of the surface area is constructed using the 3DLevelManager™  software.
